Segment Descriptions
Hiking at Chimney Bluffs
Just outside the town of Sodus in upstate New York is a park called Chimney Bluffs. The shoreline in this park is made of a glacial moraine which has been eroded into unusual formations. The geography of Chimney Bluffs features v-shaped erosion valleys as well as knife-edge vertical spires.

Free Wheeling
This in-line skating outing was on a paved path next to the shore of the Puget Sound in Seattle, Washington. The excursion started in the Elliot Bay Apartments with scenes of getting on the elevator at the 3rd floor and then off of the elevator at the street level. The overcast day produced rain and on our return leg to the apartment we had to skate on wet pavement.

Crater Lake
We packed up a Jeep Wrangler and headed south from Seattle on Rt. 5. The ultimate destination of this road trip was to visit Crater Lake in southern Oregon. This video features views into the caldera of Crater Lake and the dark blue water surrounding the 600-foot tall Wizard Island.

Mt. St. Helens
Still classified as an active volcano, a climbing permit is required before climbing Mt. St. Helens. I wrote to the U.S. National Parks Service and received a climbing permit before heading to Mt. St. Helens in southern Washington State. At the top of St. Helens there is a view into the volcanic crater and the still smoldering lava dome. Looking over the lava dome from the edge of the crater, Spirit Lake and Mt. Rainier are visible. The 6 hour hike to the top of St. Helens and back travels through the rugged scenery 14 years after the May 18th, 1980 eruption.
